On November 9, 1993, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, Tina Dabi was born into a middle-class SC Hindu family. Particularly that of Jaswant and Himani Dabi.

Jaswant, Tina’s father works as Chief General Manager and State Head, Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BSNL), Rajasthan. While her mother on the hand, formerly served in the Indian Engineering Services (IES).

Tina never had a brother but was blessed with a younger sister, named Ria Dabi. They all lived in Bhopal, where she was born until they moved to Delhi in her 7th standard.

In Delhi, Tina Dabi schooled at the Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi, which is a girl-day school. Growing up a young girl, Tina has always wanted to pursue a career in Commerce (B.com). But eventually, she accepted an admission at the Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi to study Political Science.

As a diligent individual, the 3-year program in the college felt like a smooth ride for Tina Dabi. And despite the rigor of school life, she finished well. She bagged home a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Tina Dabi is an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) Officer. At 18, her quest to crack the dreaded IAS Exam on her first attempt started. So Tina Dabi got enrolled in the RAU’s IAS study circle.

And to achieve this goal, she studied for about 9-12 hours, following helpful strategies learned from the courses. And in 2016, results confirmed her as the IAS topper 2015. Out of 2025, she had secured an aggregate of 1063 marks (52.49%) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

This milestone was significant to her career. And she attended the the UPSC IAS Toppers 2015 felicitation ceremony held in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) office in Delhi. There Tina Dabi was duly recognized as the best.

During that time, she met the first love of her life, Athar Aamir Khan. Specifically, that was while she’s on her IAS training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration (LBSNAA), Charleville, Mussoorie, India.

After the training at LBSNAA, an Indian civil service training institute, she started work as an assistant secretary at the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Government of India. And she served in that capacity for 13 weeks based on deputation.

But in 2017, in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan, Tina Dabi got her first posting as an Assistant Collector. Soon, on October 26, 2018, she took up a new public office in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. As the Sub-divisional officer (SDO) and Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

Tina continued to make progress in her career journey. So two years later, in 2020, Tina got posted to Sri Ganganagar as chief executive officer (CEO)-Zila Parishad. Also, that same year, in November, she joined the Finance (Tax) Department in Jaipur as its Joint Secretary.

She kept on soaring high like an eagle in her career. And soon, she assumed the office of District Collector and Magistrate of Rajasthan Government, particularly the Jaisalmer district. Yes, as the 65th person acting in that capacity.

After two years of courtship, they decided to get married on March 20, 2018. And that was followed by the performance of the necessary religious marriage rituals in Pahalgam Club, Kashmir in April 7.

Unfortunately, two years down the line, in a Jaipur family court in November 2020, they both filed for a divorce. While in August 2021, it got granted. This incident came with a lot of drama on social media. Tina Dabi took the name “Khan” from her name across her different social media profiles, while Athar ceased following her at the time.
